At Specialist Anaesthetic Services (SAS) we are committed to the protection of your personal information. We aim to take all reasonable steps to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APP) and protect the privacy of personal information that we collect.

Patient Information - Collection, Use and Storage

While you are a patient of a SAS Anaesthetist, the practice will be required to collect personal information from you via online forms, emails and/or through pre-anaesthetic consultations with your Anaesthetist.

It is necessary for us to collect this information so that we can provide you with the best possible service, both administratively and medically.

All information collected is stored in our secure and confidential database.

Patient Access to Information

If you become aware of any incorrect information that you may have sent to us in error, please advise us as soon as possible.

We will endeavour to correct your personal information in a timely manner.

Patient Complaints

Any concerns or complaints about the privacy of your personal information can be referred to the Practice Manager.

Please make your complaint in writing and we will aim to address your queries as soon as practicable.

If you feel that your complaint has not been dealt with appropriately, you may refer your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commission (OAIC).
