Professional Biography

Kathy completed her medical degree in 1998 at Adelaide University. She completed her FANZCA qualification in 2005, spending six months in Darwin, gaining ICU and retrieval experience. Her fellowship year was spent in Oxford (UK) where she focused on regional anaesthesia. Following her fellowship she was invited to stay in Oxford for a further year, working and teaching, also travelling.

Kathy currently works part time, exclusively for Specialist Anaesthetic Services. She has been the coordinator of continuing professional education within the practice for more than five years. She maintains an interest in regional and obstetric anaesthesia. Kathy is particularly interested in good patient care. She uses her caring attitude and patient explanations to reassure her patients when they have concerns, believing that everyone can have a more relaxed, even enjoyable, hospital experience.

Kathrine is also a busy mother of three and has interests in music, books and entertaining.
