Biography:

Alistair completed his medical degree in Belfast in 1994. He trained in both Anaesthetics and Intensive Care medicine in England and Northern Ireland and completed specialist training in Anaesthetics in the UK in 2004.

Following this he completed a one year Intensive Care fellowship at Flinders Medical Centre during which time he gained experience in helicopter and fixed wing retrievals before the formation of the MEDSTAR retrieval service.

Returning to Northern Ireland, Alistair commenced a consultant position in Anaesthetics and Intensive Care before returning to Adelaide in 2008 to commence a position as an Anaesthetic consultant at Flinders Medical Centre. Alistair was on the anaesthetic team for liver transplants at Flinders Medical Centre for 10 years.
